A favour from you all

This is an amazing idea. If you get a chance please send in a postcard! Growing up I had penpals from all over. It’s a great way to learn about our world!

Its good to be crazy Sometimes

I have a big favour to ask from you all. A friend of mine has a child in nursery and they are asking for a letter.

If you can’t read it the basic of it, is that the children ages 3-5 are learning about different places in the UK and around the world. They are making gingerbread men and one of those naughty gingerbread men is going to escape and run away.

So the favour? They would like people from anywhere in the world to send them a postcard or a letter and write on the words “run run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man”

And send it to

At Her Core

This beautifully describes how I felt after my divorce. It doesn’t get better on its own but with work you can find that reason to go on!

Kristen Ruchalski, Writer

Deep inside, a feeling, a longing to belong.

At the center of her being, a sad and lonely song.

A shattered sense of self.

A lost and broken girl.

Wildly seeking something.

A reason to go on.

Aching and burning, that reason doesn’t come.

An empty core is left, her heart is on the run.

If you could change one decision in your past would you? If so, what would it be?

Cyranny's Cove

She was sitting in the dentist-like long chair, her head covered with sticky electrodes. There were far more screens, and electronic devices she couldn’t even name, than she could have imagined. The crowd of doctors, nurses and other specialists was quite impressive, and when the room went dark, and she was blinded by some kind of spotlight, she finally had a doubt.

You are sure this will work, aren’t you? I mean, I trust you, doctor, but I just want to be sure I’m not going to fuck up my whole past!

Most of the people getting ready for the procedure weren’t even paying attention to her, but Dr Weinster turned her way, smiling as he always did, and tried to reassure her.

We’ve been in the business for eight years now, Miss, and you would have heard about “Fresh Start” in the news if we didn’t know exactly what…

How Do You Celebrate Achieving a Lifelong Goal?

As most of you are aware, my book is available for download beginning today. This has been such an amazing experience and it’s hard to get across in writing how wonderful it feels to have accomplished this. There just aren’t enough exclamation points on the keyboard!!!!!!!

Honestly this book was a huge effort, but I published it in a relatively short period of time because I wanted to prove to myself that if I put my mind to something, I can do it. I truly believe in the message in my book and I am thrilled with the final product. I don’t think it will disappoint anyone who takes the time to read it.

But I didn’t want to spend a year writing it. As important as it can be to take the time to carefully craft your message, to examine each sentence and determine how it supports the larger picture, the ultimate goal was to produce a finished product. To me, it was more important to have something complete than something perfect. There is no guarantee that if I had spent another 2 months editing that the final product would have been any better.

I think often we get hung up on the mechanics of doing something; we believe that there is one right way or there are certain steps we need to follow. With this book I wanted to break some of the rules I used to believe. I wanted to avoid the things that have held me back from achieving any of my goals. I didn’t want to allow time for fear or self doubt to creep in.

And I did it!

Thriving Not Surviving: Bravely Pursue a Life That Will Blow Your Mind!

My dream of becoming an author has come true! This is just one of many things I will accomplish in the years to come, but it has done something unbelievably important. It has proven I can achieve whatever goal I set for myself. I have climbed my first mountain, but it will not be my last!

Today I am having a party at my house to celebrate. You’re all invited!

What goal would you achieve if you decided today that you would do anything to accomplish it?

Creative PTSD Gal is working on a new project!

A Creative PTSD Gal

My monthly A to Z challenge is starting to come to an end. I have read some great content from other bloggers like Ian and mine covering different letters under one theme and some have been a continuing series like the wonderful Tale Spinning (I recommend you start from the beginning). I will post a recap and some intentional plans and a question asking my fellow bloggers in our community that will hopefully satisfy the void that I will surely feel after my challenge is over. In the meantime, I have a poll. I will be hosting a giveaway. No purchase is required just a little thought.

For the writer in you, I propose a giveaway for a really short piece of flash fiction of 50 words covering a prompt. All posts would be published (it’s your writing so you get credit) but the winner gets the prize. Anyone can…
